Beer and Wine Permits and Licenses

Original (New) Beer and Wine Permits and Licenses

After you complete the TABC requirements for Original applications and have obtained the approval of the Tarrant County Judge, you will present your application and pay your County and State fees to the Cashier located in our office on the first floor of the Administration Building. The Cashier will issue a Temporary Receipt which you will submit to the TABC with your completed application to obtain your permit or license.

Renewal Beer and Wine Permits and Licenses

The TABC will mail a Renewal application to you. Although these applications display only State of Texas fees, you also are required to pay a County fee and a renewal fee.

Your Renewal application fees may be paid at our downtown office location or by mail. If you have proper identification and are the owner listed on the application, our office will notarize your application and issue a Temporary Receipt that will allow you to continue to operate until you receive your permanent license from TABC. You also may pay by mail provided that all forms received are completed in full, and all copies contain an original signature by the owner and are notarized. Renewal applications by mail should be addressed to Betsy Price, Tax Assessor-Collector, Attn: Beer and Liquor-Cashier, 100 E. Weatherford Street, Fort Worth, TX 76196-0301. Payments may be made by check or money order, or by cash if you pay in person.

Beer and wine permits and licenses cannot be renewed earlier than 30 days before the date the license expires. If you fail to renew your license on time, but apply for renewal between the first and 30th day after the expiration date of the permit or license, a late fee will be charged. If you fail to renew your license on time, and allow more than 30 days to pass after the expiration date, you will be required to 1) cease selling beer and wine, and 2) re-file with TABC.

Liquor Permits – State Fees

The Tarrant County Tax Assessor-Collector does not collect State fees for liquor permits. The TABC office in Austin bills for and collects those fees. Contact the TABC for additional information on State liquor permit fees.

Liquor Permits – County Fees

The Tax Assessor-Collector collects the County fees due for new and renewal liquor permits. This fee is always one-half of the State fee. The Cashier will mail you a renewal notice. However, if you fail to receive one, you must contact our office to renew your permit. Fees may be paid in person at our downtown location or by mail as described above.
