At Tarrant County Public Health Main Campus the following services are offered in an effort to eliminate Breast and Cervical Cancer from our community: clinical breast exams, pap smears, mammograms, diagnostic services for abnormal findings (i.e. ultrasounds, biopsies), and case management for cancer treatment.

Chronic Disease and Injury Prevention
TAKE CHARGE – LIVE WELL is a six-week program that addresses chronic-disease self-management. Participants meet for 2 hours, on a weekly basis, and learn positive ways to cope with their illness (or a loved one’s illness) through various skill building activities.

Immunization Information
Without proper immunizations, both adults and children can become sick, disabled or die as a result of contracting a disease. And many diseases are entirely preventable with the proper vaccinations.

Tuberculosis (TB) Skin Tests
Tuberculosis causes far more deaths than any other infectious diseases worldwide. It infects one-third of the world’s population, and kills three million people every year (a quarter of the world’s preventable deaths).

Refugee Health Screening Program
Tarrant County Public Health’s Tuberculosis Elimination is working in cooperation with the Texas Department of Health to provide incoming displaced persons from around the world with screenings for general health, nutrition and tuberculosis (TB).
